Recycling

Due to the non-degradable nature of the polypropylene material, BBS has made a commitment to reduce the consignment of polypropylene to landfill and to reduce the detrimental effect to the environment.

We are continuously exploring all avenues in order to enhance the recycling of polypropylene, plastics, PE and other materials, which are currently either consigned to landfill or being incinerated, in both cases causes damage to our environment.

What do we do with the bags collected from your site?

We sort them according to grade and then supply them to polypropylene re-granulators. Where they are converted into products such as plastic boxes, wheelie bins, bollards etc.

In some instances, where bags are not damaged and contamination is not an issue, they can be reused. First, we check them for damage, clean them with our custom designed cleaner to minimise the detrimental effect to the environment.

This process maximises the useful life of FIBCs without the use of excessive energy resources, making it more environmentally friendly.
